Press Inquiries

Chicago TARDIS welcomes inquiries from broadcast, print, and web-only media.  We especially welcome any local, Chicago or Chicago area based news sources. Whether your organization wants just an interview with one or more of our gue or would like to spend the day – or weekend – with us via a press pass, we will work with you to make your coverage of our event as easy as possible.

Contact Taylor Deatherage, our Social Media Manager, to get the ball rolling.

A press pass gets you into the convention as a general admission member– brunch, autograph and photographs, and the evening reception is not included in the pass. Please note: A press pass does not guarantee any interviews with the convention guests. You will be able to interview convention attendees and staff, however, and also record snippets of panels and other activities for use in your coverage of the event.

We ask that press inquiries be made no later than November 1st for our 2018 event.  We may ask for certain samples of event coverage you may have done in the past, especially if you are a more independent source.  We want to accommodate all news sources – large and small – to be able to represent themselves at our con, and this helps us do so.

Please note that interviews are scheduled in advance only. Our guests frequently have tight weekend schedules, and will only be able to accommodate interviews pre-arranged through the convention’s Showrunner. Walk-in requests for interviews and/or press credentials will be incredibly difficult to fit in to the guests’ schedules.  We ask that you do not request interviews through the guests’ agents.  Thank you.
