Chicago TARDIS Memberships include all the panels, photograph and autograph session access with some guests, video rooms, and everything else going on during the weekend.  We strongly encourage you to purchase a 3-day premium (i.e. Reserved or Priority) membership if you want to attempt getting autographs and/or photos from ALL the guests.

Why Is It a “Membership” and Not a “Ticket”? Do I Need To Get a Membership In Order to Buy A Ticket?

Chicago TARDIS considers you family– you’re joining us, not paying to get inside. That’s why it’s a “membership.” Buying a Membership is the same as buying a Ticket at other events.

Our Membership Policies

All sales are final. No refunds will be issued.

Membership cannot be deferred
to following years except under extreme emergencies (death in the family or hospitalization of self, spouse, parent, or child). Such deferrals must be requested by the Monday of convention week (for 2017, that would be Monday, November 20). Chicago TARDIS reserves the right to refuse any requests made in this manner.

Memberships can be transferred in the following manner:

  • The Transferer (i.e. the Person with a Membership) is responsible for finding someone to transfer the membership to (a.k.a. The Transferee).
  • The membership must be transferred for no more than face value. If Chicago TARDIS finds out that the membership has been transferred for more than face value, or if said membership gets sold via eBay or some other auction site, then the membership will be voided and the Transferer will be banned from further Chicago TARDISes.
  • To transfer a membership, the Transferer should contact Chicago TARDIS through our generic email address (thedoctor@chicagotardis.com) with the following information:Name of Transferer and email addressName of Transferee and email address
  • Memberships can only be transferred once. i.e. If Joe Pratsen were to transfer his membership to Hy Squidgee, then Hy couldn’t transfer their membership to anyone else.
  • Transfer requests will be honored until November 20, 2016 at 9 a.m. CST. After that time, transfer requests will be handled at convention registration, and will require both the Transferer and Transferee to be present.

Upgrades are only available if memberships are available for the next level. (For example, you can upgrade from a Friday-only to a Three-Day if Three-Day memberships are still available.) We will handle this arrangement at the convention itself this weekend.

Special Brunch/Reception Rule: By buying a ticket to the Sunday Brunch (if offered) or Reception with the guests, you agree that you will not ask for autographs or photographs from the guests during the session. Should you be spotted doing so, you will be a) asked to leave the brunch and b) banned from subsequent brunches/receptions. Table photos (as well as select “action” shots) will be taken and available on the website after the convention.

We have put these rules in place to assure that all of us (staff, attendees, guests) have as splendid a time as possible. We can’t wait to see you Thanksgiving weekend!

All-Access Memberships

These coveted memberships– which include first row seating– may become available on a single-seat basis during the course of the year. We will announce if a seat becomes up for grabs, and how you might obtain it, through our Facebook page (as well as here on our website).

Reserved Memberships

Adults: $200 (($100 for children 6-12, free for children 0-5 as of convention weekend)

These memberships include the following perks:

  • Reserved seat in Main Programming the entire weekend– Rows 2-6
  • Access to the Thursday Night Reception, featuring most guests
  • Early Access to the Dealers Room on Friday morning
  •  Early Access to purchasing brunch (if offered), autograph/photo opportunities, and evening receptions.
  • Second Priority in Registration, Autograph, Photograph, and Brunch lines (after All-Access)
  • Plus everything all members get: access to three (or more) tracks of programming, free writer autographs, Masquerade, Chronological Cavalcade, Camp Time Lord (read rules), the famous Britock/Cyberkaraoke Party and the Don’t Blink Dance Party, gaming, lots of audience participation events, dealers room, fun and friendship.

Priority Memberships

Adults: $150 ($75 for children 6-12, free for children 0-5 as of convention weekend)

These memberships include the following perks:

  • Early Access to the Dealers Room on Friday morning
  • Early Access to purchasing brunch (if offered), autograph/photo opportunities, and any evening receptions (that might be offered).
  • Third Priority in Registration, Autograph, Photograph, and Brunch lines (after All-Access and Reserved)
  • Plus everything all members get: access to three (or more) tracks of programming, free writer autographs, Masquerade, Chronological Cavalcade, Camp Time Lord (read rules), the famous Britock/Cyberkaraoke Party and the Don’t Blink Dance Party, gaming, lots of audience participation events, dealers room, fun and friendship.

General Admission Memberships

Weekend: $90 ($45 for children 6-12, free for children 0-5 as of convention weekend)
Day Passes: $40 for Friday or Sunday ($20 for children 6-12, free for children 0-5 as of convention weekend); $50 for Saturday ($25 for children 6-12, free for children 0-5 as of convention weekend) 

These memberships include the following perks:

  • access to three (or more) tracks of programming, free writer autographs, Masquerade, Chronological Cavalcade, Camp Time Lord (read rules), the famous Britock/Cyberkaraoke Party and the Don’t Blink Dance Party, gaming, lots of audience participation events, dealers room, fun and friendship.
  • Not guaranteed any extra-charge autograph and photograph opportunities.
