An event update from Chicago TARDIS
The following statement is up to date as of May 2020.
We wanted to write a quick update to all of you in lieu of the many event cancellations that are going on in the convention world (and beyond). Yes, our event is later in the year and we have no indication that Chicago TARDIS will be cancelled at this time, but we felt compelled to make a statement all the same.
Surprisingly, we are not the first late in the year event to make a post like this one. Right now, things are very up in the air for many conventions and related events. Artists and exhibitors who earn their livelihoods from events like ours are facing big gaps in their income. People in the overall nerdy community are generally worried about being cut off from people who are important to them. We see you and we are with you at this time.
Like we mentioned above, there is no reason to believe our event will not go forward with the information we have at hand. That being said, we will be postponing our second wave of guest announcements for the next few weeks. This will allow all parties involved (including ourselves) to take care of personal commitments as well as give us a better idea of the landscape going forward.
We will not be suspending ticket sales at this time, nor will our hotel be suspending room reservations.
Of course, we will provide updates about Chicago TARDIS as things evolve in the convention scene. Be sure to follow us on all social media and subscribe to our email list for regular event updates.
From all of our staff members to all of you out there, please stay safe, stay home, and take care of yourselves.
