A look at the recent revelations about the Doctor's past in regards to the episode/story arc of the Timeless Child and what it means for series continuity and/or your head canon. Is this the "true" history of the Doctor? Or is the Master up to his old tricks? Let's compare and contrast this recent revelation to other times fans had their understanding of the show shaken up. i.e. The Power of the Daleks, The War Games, The Deadly Assassin, The TV Movie, etc. We want to hear what you think about this major change to the lore of our favorite show.

Many people have been turning to Doctor Who in the wake of the pandemic, finding solace in group views, live tweets and panels, and other lockdown activities. But what is it about Doctor Who that not only provides comfort and enjoyment, but also a sense of hope in the midst of our difficult times. This panel will discuss the question of how people are finding comfort in the show, as well as examining the values that resonate with us deeply when we watch and remind us, as the Thirteen Doctor remarked, that "darkness never prevails."
Is the Doctor In? Pandemics and Doctor Who (Tony Whitt, panel moderator)
Planned time (subject to change):
8:00 PM EST/7:00 PM CST/6:00 PM MST/5:00 PM PST/1:00 AM (Sun) GMT
Our favorite show has rarely set stories during the sort of pandemic we're currently living through, though such stories do exist. There's also a spate of lockdown-related Doctor Who stories that have been or are being produced. How do these stories handle the idea of pandemic - and would events such as the Great Plague of 1665 and our own pandemic be considered "fixed points in time"? We'll be discussing television stories such as The Invisible Enemy, The Visitation, The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances, and New Earth, as well as any books, audios, or other stories related to diseases gone wild that audience members would like to talk about.
