2022 COVID-19 Policy

After much discussion among our staff and weighing the current COVID-19 situation in our community, we at Chicago TARDIS will be requiring masking in all of our convention spaces - with the exception of eating or drinking - during our 2022 event. Masks can also be removed when participating in photo ops, presenting on a panel, conducting an interview, or leading other programming for the duration of that program. (Identical to our 2021 policy.) We will not be requiring proof of vaccination to attend this year’s convention. Sanitation around microphones, other equipment, and in our general convention spaces will be identical to our 2021 procedures.

When attending this year’s convention, we highly recommend you wear a high-quality (KN95 or N95) mask. We also acknowledge that the Westin Hotel staff and guests who are not attending our convention may not be masked as it is no longer a hotel requirement for its patrons or staff to wear a mask. We ask that our attendees be respectful of our policy, regardless.

We also ask that attendees DO NOT attend our event if they are feeling ill or have tested positive for COVID-19. We encourage all attendees to test prior to attending our event, but it is NOT required.

If you would like to test prior to our event or need to test during our event, here is a list where you can search testing facilities near and around our venue location. Tests can also be obtained at local chain drugstores. (Click for list.)

We appreciate you all understanding how difficult our decision was upon making this year’s policy. For any questions, please reach out to us via email.
